Wedding Wednesday - Bush and Tousey

On March 27, 1817 in Boone county, Kentucky, Mr. Philip Bush, son of John Bush and Sallie Craig and Vicy Tousey, daughter of Thomas Tousey and Lydia Percival, were married.

On March 27, 1867, they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

From theCincinnati Daily Enquirer, Cincinnati, Ohio, 29 March 1867, p3.

Golden Wedding:  Mr. P. S. Bush and wife, of this city, celebrated their Golden Wedding on Wednesday night last.  Quite a large company of the friends and relations  (including 5 great-grandsons) of the venerable couple called at their residence, on Madison Street, and were very agreeably entertained during the evening.  Among those present were several persons who attended Mr. Bush's wedding fifty years ago; also, the representative of a family, six generations of which Mr. B. has known.  The age of Mr. Bush is seventy-two, he having been born at North Bend, Boone County, Kentucky, March 27, 1795.  Mrs. Bush was born at Harpersfield, New York, in 1799.  Many valuable presents appropriate for the occasion, were bestowed upon the aged couple.
